Long before cooking blogs and celebrity chefs, home cooks were crafting family favorites from index cards that had been preserved for generations. Keeping recipes means keeping traditions.
Bring your favorite recipe to the ITC on November 5 to create a sturdy booklet that you can keep on your shelf and share with your loved ones. A limited number of material kits will be provided; please RSVP to be sure you’ll have one!
Join us before the workshop to view selected materials from the ITC collections and UTSA Special Collection’s Mexican Cookbook Collection.
Guests are encouraged to check in early, as the workshop will begin with an 11 a.m. introduction activity on the main exhibit floor, before convening in the first-floor classroom. There will be a scheduled break for refreshments and guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Vending machines are available.
Admission: Teen to adult, Free; RSVP required.
