The UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures has enlisted the Puerto Rican Heritage Society for September’s Free Second Sunday programming. Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2019, the group has planned a day of activities including Puerto Rican music and dance, gaming, art exhibition, field day challenges, children’s crafts and more.
The day’s activities include a photo booth featuring Puerto Rican-themed props, “mundillo” bobbin lace displays, dominoes, music from DJ Julio Navarro and his dancing robots, the Tambores del Pueblo musical ensemble and a variety of hands-on and audience participation activities.
Sunday, Sept. 8, noon – 4 p.m.
